Play The Mission

The Mission welcomes local, regional, and touring musicians and bands looking for a place to share their music with the Jefferson City community.

Established in 2009, The Mission has always been about bringing great music, artists, and people together. We believe all forms of music are an expression of the individual artist, and we want to provide a stage where both established performers and musicians just beginning their journey can be heard.

What We’re Looking For

We book a wide variety of musical styles and performers. Our regular lineup includes:

  • Blues
  • Classic Rock
  • Hard Rock
  • Hip Hop
  • Bluegrass
  • Country
  • Acoustic and singer-songwriter acts
  • Original music
  • Other genres and unique performances

We are interested in artists who bring something of their own to the stage. Whether you are an established touring act, a regional band, a local favorite, or are you playing your first real show, we want to hear from you.

What Artists Can Expect

When you play The Mission, you’re more than another name on a calendar.

We want our artists to have a valuable experience—from the initial booking conversation through the night of the show. Our goal is to provide a welcoming venue, a great atmosphere, and an audience that comes to The Mission because they love live music.

Our venue offers a historic atmosphere with brick walls, a stamped-tin ceiling, pinewood floors, and a character that dates back to the 1800s. It is a place where the history of the building and the energy of live music come together.

Most importantly, we want to help musicians build their audience, gain experience, and continue doing what they love.
